Dodge Charger Coronet Super Bee 1970

Here we have one of the Icons of the Mopar Muscle car Stable … The Dodge Coronet Superbee . Engine is a BB 383 , 4 SPEED Manual , controlled with a Factory Hurst Pistol Grip shifter which just screams Yee Haa !
The car is a Factory 383 4 speed car , but not sure if the engine is the original or not have never worked it out , the gearbox I have been told is a newer 4 speed overdrive , Rear end is an open 3.55:1 ( originally had a 3.23:1 ).
The car haul’s ass , haul’s up , and handles like a champ.
4 wheel Drum brakes – couple years back and hardly used was new shoes , wheel cylinders and master cylinder. Originally had 14″ Magnum wheels now has ( new couple years ago , and never used ) 15″ Rallye Wheels with 235 / 60 R15 BF Goodrich Radial T/A’s all round .
Car from what I can tell is mostly original paint if not touched up way back when . The body will need the usual Mopar Replacement Panel treatment in the rear being , Rear or lower rear quarters , trunk floor , drops , and bit of chassis rail work where it joins the rear bumper support.Floors , Rockers forward look pretty good with maybe some minor patching needed and the frame rail on oneside where the torsion bar goes through needs some attention.
This is the way I see it, but dont take my word for it , I ant no expert , if your serious come check it out for yourself . Happy to provide any other photo’s or info required along the way. It’s a rare car , with more credentials than most of ya , Mopar Muscle ya cant beat it , so buy it.
Dodge Charger 500 : 383 4 Speed 1970

Here we have the one year only 1970 Dodge Charger 500 , 383 BB , Pistol Grip 4 Speed Manual . A big block manual charger is not something you will see often , superbee’s and roadrunners are much more common in manual but here folks we do have a factory BB manual charger.
This is a very solid Charger with rust in the usual mopar places , except the frame structure.Torque Boxes good , needs lower quarters , full trunk pan and some smaller floor patch panels, also has rust around bottom of rear glass .
This Charger came from the factory in that oh so popular winning colour B5 Blue with a Black vinyl Top.All glass good , needs interior Kit,This is a super rare 4 speed pistol grip console car you can tell that by the hurst shifter that is not straight, there is part of the console that comes with the car but you can buy them after market now finally. The car has new tires on nice wheels , original wheels long gone but easily obtainable upon restoration.
Engine I believe is original to the car, previous owner said it was factory. Partial vin on block matches except for one number. The 2 stamped on the block is supposed to be a five.I’ve been informed this was likely to be a mistake as it would be unusual for all the other numbers to match , but make your own mind up there , it never really bothered me . Casting date on block is 12-9-69 which makes sence as car was built first month of 1970.
One of the last previous owner’s in the US was a engine builder by trade and so the story goes he rebuilt the engine a few years ago then the car got parked with only 500 or so miles on the engine. He put a good sized cam in it that sounds pretty dame mean, at that time it was also given a new clutch , pressure plate pilot bushing and throw out bearing. The car runs and drives well , needs some exhaust work or baffling , but is turn key , starts and stops .
This Charger has never had a major crash. A Bit of parking lot scrapes and dings but it still sports it’s factory vin stamped core support
Never repainted its a survivor
